Baseball has been in my life since I can remember. I grew up playing at the ballpark while my older brother played on the field and my dad coached. My first job was at Cashman feild (age 14) where the Las Vegas triple A baseball team (the 51's at the time) used to play. When I had Roman, I prayed he would love the game as much as everyone else in our family. God heard those prayers and boy oh boy did He deliver. Roman's passion for ther game, and pure God given talent is next level. I dont think anything in the world makes me happier than being in the ballpark and watch MY boy play! Now that Roman is about to be 15, its safe to say we have been on several teams, had different experienced with each one, but i have to say, the team we are on now, the Las Vegas BULLDOGS, is unlike any other. THIS is the definition of "baseball family." As this season comes to an end, and the boys go off to high school, I cannot control my emotions. I have been absolutely unhinged since the coach and boys surprised us with these jerseys on mothers day! It's so strange, I've been absolutely in love with Roman since the moment I knew I was pregnant, even more so the minute he blessed the earth with his presence, and now, it's like my obsession with him is growing stronger and stronger every second of every day. I can't even put it into words. He is literally so special, and before you roll your eyes like "yea, every mom feels that way about their child," no no, he is TRULY special. He has truly left a mark on every one he comes in contact with. And while I know that this team will forever be a family and stay in touch forever, I know there are only more amazing things in front of him...more growing, more baseball, more memories, more of me crying at everything. haha I love you, son. Thank you for walking me into the best era of my life, but most impotantly, thank you for choosing me to be your mom. I'm blessed beyond measure.
